CommandPDF is free for personal and commercial use. No account required.
Your Files Stay Local
All PDF processing happens in your browser. We never receive or store your files.
No Warranties
The service is provided "as is". We are not liable for data loss — always keep backups.
Fair Use
Do not use CommandPDF to process illegal content or attempt to abuse our infrastructure.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using CommandPDF ("the Service") at commandpdf.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
CommandPDF provides free, browser-based PDF tools including — but not limited to — merging, splitting, compressing, converting, editing, and securing PDF files. All file processing is performed locally in your web browser using WebAssembly and JavaScript. Your files are never uploaded to our servers.
3. Permitted Use
You may use CommandPDF to:
- Process PDF files for personal, educational, or commercial purposes.
- Use all available tools without creating an account.
- Process an unlimited number of files subject to your device's memory constraints.
4. Prohibited Use
You must not use CommandPDF to:
- Process, create, or distribute illegal, harmful, or infringing content.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the Service infrastructure.
- Use automated bots to bulk-access or stress-test the Service.
- Circumvent any security features of the Service.
5. Intellectual Property
The CommandPDF name, logo, website design, and underlying code are the property of CommandPDF. You retain full ownership of any files you process using the Service. We claim no rights over your documents.
6. Third-Party Libraries
CommandPDF uses open-source libraries including PDF.js, qpdf, and LibreOffice WebAssembly. These are subject to their respective licenses. Use of these libraries through our interface is subject to these Terms.
7. Advertising
CommandPDF is supported by advertising provided by Google AdSense. Ads are served by Google and are subject to Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out of personalized advertising via Google Ad Settings.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for your specific use case.
Always keep backups of important documents before processing them with any tool, including CommandPDF.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, CommandPDF and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of — or inability to use — the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
10. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes arising from use of the Service shall be resolved in accordance with applicable jurisdiction.
